Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici and Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk signed an additional protocol on prolonging the mechanism of resuming full movement of freight trains via Transnistria in Chisinau today.
The document was signed after the first meeting between Gaburici and Shevchuk. Chiril Gaburici said that the protocol was prolonged till the end of 2016. Gaburici added that this decision was important not only for the economic activity, but also for bolstering confidence between the two banks of Dniester.
”We agreed on the need to execute the works of dismantling the cable railway between the towns of Ribnita and Rezina. We try to find solutions as to the free access of farmers from Dubasari district to their farmlands beyond the Ribnita-Tiraspol highway. Our goal is to give a fresh impetus to the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol,” Gaburici said.
Yevgeny Shevchuk welcomed the signing of the protocol and voiced hope that the negotiating parties would find compromises to other problematic issues too.
The mentioned protocol was also prolonged in 2013.
