Chisinau Municipal Council approves city's budget for 2015

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today approved the city’s budget for 2015 in second reading.

The budget was backed by 39 councillors. The document stipulates incomes worth 2.839 billion lei and expenses amounting to 3.262 billion lei. The budgetary deficit is of about 423 million lei. The draft’s authors propose to cover the budgetary deficit from means got from sales or privatisation of public property assets and foreign financing sources.

Social expenses have the biggest share of all the expenditures, followed by the economic ones. The budget was passed after the municipal councillors had failed to approve it more times.
