Moldova to borrow over 30 million dollars to modernise health sector

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will borrow 30.8 million dollars from the International Development Association for the modernisation of the health sector. The parliament ratified a financing agreement to this end today.
According to the informative note to the draft, the enforcement of the agreement will help reduce the risks related to non-communicable disease and enhance the efficiency of health services, in particular by strengthening primary and hospital medical assistance.
At the parliament meeting, Health Minister Mircea Buga said the draft would be implemented during four and a half years by the Health Ministry and National Health Insurance Company. The loan will be given for a period of 25 years, with 0.5 per cent commitment fee, a 0.75 per cent service fee and 1.25 per cent interest rate.
