Moldovan PM attends European People's Party Summit

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, as representative of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), participated in a summit of the European People's Party (EPP) on 19 March.
According to a press release by the PLDM, Gaburici delivered a speech at the meeting in Brussels, referring to the political situation in Moldova and the government's priorities for the immediately next period.
"EPP has been and will remain one of the most important partners of PLDM and Moldova. Due to this support, our country has significantly advanced in meeting its goal of European integration. I hope that together we will overcome all problems and implement the needed reforms, which are to ensure a better living for Moldova's citizens. We see only one future for our country, a European one", he said.
The participants in the summit, chaired by EPP President Joseph Daul, discussed issues of the international and regional security, latest events in Ukraine and Greece, EPP policies and programmes, preparation for a Eastern Partnership meeting, due in Riga. Attending the event were the most important European political leaders, representatives of parties from the great EPP family, among whom Angela Merkel, Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Juncker, Nicolas Sarkozy, Klaus Iohannis.
