Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - The heads of the working groups on bolstering confidence between the two banks of Dniester met in Chisinau today. Attending the meeting also were Chisinau and Tiraspol political representatives, Victor Osipov and Nina Shtanski, respectively.
Nina Shtanski said the meeting’s goal was to boost the activity of working groups. Shtanski added that meetings of more working groups, including of those on economy, transport and education, would be held on the days to come. “There are a lot of problems. At the today meeting, experts set forth their vision on certain issues, in some cases, the sides had common viewpoints,” Nina Shtanski said.
Victor Osipov said the meeting’s main target was to organise the activity of working groups. “We made proposals on optimising their activity. There are concrete subjects that we approached, on a string of pressing problems for the residents of the two banks of Dniester and the way the working groups are to work in continuation,” Osipov said.
Osipov added that the present problems were not simple and sometimes the blocked the activity of some working groups. “Many times, because of a more serious problem, discussions are not held with the other. We agreed on this not to happen again,” Osipov said. According to him, the participants also agreed that the groups’ members not to only come up with reactions and solutions to problems, but also with initiatives, which might make possible implementation of joint projects.
The Moldovan and Transnistrian political representatives held a first meeting in 2015 on 12 March.
