Former Moldovan premier informs about launch of new political party

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- Former Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today announced the launch of a new political party, the European People's Party of Moldova (PPEM).
At a news conference, the initiative group for launching PPEM unveiled a declaration on the creation of the new party, as well as its team.
Leanca said the party "will be a European one in the way it is going to work" and it would be made up of "incorruptible and professional people". Among the people who will be members of the future party, there are MP Eugen Carpov, political pundit Oazu Nantoi, former deputy foreign ministers Iulian Groza and Valeriu Chiveri, ex-director of the Diaspora Relations Bureau Victor Lutenco and a former Youth Minister Octavian Ticu.
"The initiative group just today will start the setting up of a new political project, will collect applications to register the party and will start needed formalities", Iurie Leanca noted.
The former prime minister in late February said that he was leaving the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM).
