Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - The European Commission’s report on progress recorded by Moldova in 2014 has to be viewed by Chisinau as an alarm signal that there is no time to waste in implementing reforms. The head of the European Parliament delegation to the Moldova-EU Association Parliamentary Committee, MEP Andi Cristea has made statements to this effect.
Cristea chaired a working meeting on 26 March. The participants discussed the present political situation in Moldova and results of the first EU-Moldova Association Council.
Andi Cristea said that the report was objective. „Chisinau cannot afford stagnating. The positive things from the report represent the outcome of the work of the former government, as the present one has been created recently, after a long period of political talks. If we compare it to the previous reports, it is less good. If we compare it to the reports of other neighbouring states – it is above the average, it is good,” Cristea said.
The 2014 European Neighbourhood Policy Moldova Progress Report was presented two days ago.
