Pensions indexed by almost eight per cent in Moldova starting today

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - The pensions are indexed by 7.95 per cent starting from 1 April 2015. The coefficient of indexation represents the average between the annual increase of the consumer price index and yearly rise of the average salary on Moldova for 2014, according to a press release by the National Social Insurance House.

Under a government decision taken on 6 March, the average wage in the country increased by 10.8 per cent last year, while consumer prices rose by 5.1 per cent. The part of the pensions paid from the state social insurances budget is indexed starting from 1 April.

Thus, old age pensions, disability pensions, survivors' pensions, pensions for work experience, set for several categories of employees in civil aviation, pensions of civil servants, local authorities, prosecutors, MPs, government members and several categories of employees from the cultural field were indexed.
