Moldovan first lady praises collaboration with Polish voivodeship authorities

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - First Lady Margareta Timofti met Voivode of Lodz Jolanta Chelminska on 31 March. The Polish official is on a visit to Chisinau, the presidency's press service has reported.
The discussions focused on boosting the bilateral cooperation in the context of Moldova's European integration.
Margareta Timofti thanked Jolanta Chelminska for the reception given to the Moldovan delegation in Lodz, during the official visit to Poland by President Nicolae Timofti in April 2014.
"Polish officials expressed support for the European integration of our country. Taking over good governance practices developed in Poland, would contribute to the advancement of Moldova on this path, "said the first lady.
Margareta Timofti welcomed the cooperation relations established between the Lodz-based Mother and Child Institute with its counterpart from Chisinau.
Voivod of Lodz Jolanta Chelminska said the Lodz-based authorities initiated numerous joint projects with the participation of Moldovan mayoralties. "We want to convey Polish experience in the field of local public administration. We have recently organised a study visit for a team from the Singerei town hall, and soon we will be visited by representatives of the Orhei town hall, "said Jolanta Chelminska.
The Polish official was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Moldova in Lodz Pavel Scura.
Mrs. Jolanta Chelminska today was awarded the Order of Honour by President Nicolae Timofti "as a token of deep gratitude for the substantial contribution to the development and deepening of friendship and cooperation relations between Poland and Moldova."
