Moldovan young rural entrepreneurs to be able to benefit from grants to initiate businesses

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - Young rural entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from grants to start and develop businesses. The parliament today ratified an agreement on financing of the Inclusive Rural Economic and Climate Resilience Programme between Moldova and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The document stipulates the earmarking of a grant worth about five million dollars to Moldova. The money will be used to provide grants to young entrepreneurs, give consultancy in working out business plans, training of businessmen to initiate businesses and in the post-financing period too.
At the parliament meeting, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ion Sula said that about 400 investment projects of young entrepreneurs would be financed and over 600 jobs would be created within the project. At the same time, at least 260 young people will benefit from assistance to develop business plans and over 800 people will be trained to start and do businesses.
The abovementioned programme’s main goal is to increase incomes of rural entrepreneurs and their capacity to face climate changes. The project will enforced till 2017.
