Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan citizens will be able to travel without visas to Serbia. The parliament ratified an agreement between the Moldovan and Serbian governments on visa regime abolition today.
Under the agreement, Moldovans holding biometric passports will be able to enter, transit and stay on Serbia’s territory for a period not exceeding 90 days during six months starting the date of the first entry. Yet, they will not be allowed getting employed in Serbia.
Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi said the payments for visa issuance to the state budget would decrease insignificantly, as the number of Serbian citizens travelling to Moldova is relatively small, about 500 people annually.
The agreement between the Moldovan and Serbian governments on mutual visa regime abolition was signed in Bucharest in December 2014.
