Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Hungarian embassy in Moldova presented Hungary’s tourism offers for 2015 within the 20th issue of the TOURISM. LEISURE. HOTELS international specialised exhibition, staged at the Moldexpo international exhibition centre on 2-5 April.

In his speech, Hungarian Ambassador to Moldova Mátyás Szilágyi highlighted that the development of bilateral ties in tourism was a priority for both states.

„We have to make a common lobby, in order to extend the transport structure via highways and sky ways, to have a direct flight between Moldova and Hungary. We are open for all ideas and proposals in this respect, in order to contribute to increase the tourism flow between our countries,” Szilágyi said.

Attending the event also was Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for Tourism Adam Ruszinko. He voiced hope that, by Hungary’s first ever participation in this exhibition, more tourists from Moldova will be attracted.

Representatives of the Hungarian Tourism Office said that Hungary could not be proud with seas or high mountains, but has extremely varied landscapes, and even spectacular in some regions. The country's capital Budapest, also called „Pearl of Danube,” has a unique and extremely beautiful geographic position. The Danube divides the mountains on which Buda is situated from the field on which Pesta lays.

„Most thermal baths are found in Budapest, compared to any other capitals of the world. The capital, with a effervescent cultural life, city of contrasts, offers unforgettable experiences for all age categories,” Director of Budapest-Central Danube Basin regional Marketing Directorate Sztojanovics Kristof said.

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office’s data show that 46 million foreigners came to Hungary in 2014, of whom 18 million as tourists.
