Moldovan government approves budgetary, fiscal policy for 2015

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/- The government today approved the budgetary and fiscal policy for 2015.
Under the document, the inflation rate estimated for for 2015 will stand at 6.4 per cent. The draft sees increase in excise share for filter cigarettes from "75 lei +24 per cent" to "200 lei +18 per cent", in order to gradually adjust them to the level of countries from the region. At the same time, the excise shares for cars, petrol, diesel oil and gas will be increase too. On the other hand, the excise rate for crude oil will decrease from 1,455 lei/ton to 348 lei/ton.
According to the amendments, the 8-per cent VAT reduced rate will be applied only to producers and importers of live animals meant for reproduction, fresh or refrigerated vegetables and fruits, as well as cereals. At the same time, the tax for using roads will increase by 50 per cent.
As for the income tax for private people, the document sees increase in taxable installments of income, personal annual exemption, annual exemption for dependents, by adjusting these sums to the inflation rate. The document also proposes taxation of the income got by Moldovans outside Moldova.
