Moldovan cabinet approves draft law on mandatory health insurances funds for 2015

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - The government at a today's meeting approved a draft law on the mandatory health insurances funds for 2015. Under the draft, the revenues of the mandatory health insurances funds for this year are scheduled to amount to 5.1 billion lei and the expenses - 5.2 billion lei, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The mandatory health insurances funds are forecast to increase by 505.5 million lei or 10.9 per cent in 2015 against 2014 and the expenditures - by 355.5 million lei or 7.3 per cent. At the same time, the mandatory health insurances premiums are scheduled to rise from 8 to 9 per cent, that will be paid by 4.5 per cent by each category of payers provided for in the law. The sum of the premium accumulated from the mandatory health insurances will amount to 2.7 billion lei.
In 2015, the list of compensated medicines is extended, and the rate of medication's compensation is increased. This measure will help also reduce the number of non-reasoned hospitalisations. At the same time, new medical services are to be provided, which need costly consumable things, and the volume of of medical services is to grow as well.
