Moldova attends meeting of CIS foreign ministers council

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/- A Moldovan delegation, led by Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, has participated in an ordinary meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Foreign Ministers Council, held in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.
The sides tackled issues related to different sectors of common interest, including draft documents on cooperation in economic area, liquidation of consequences of emergencies, etc.
Ulianovschi met Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Askar Beshimov. The two officials considered the current stage and cooperation perspectives in economic field and discussed more issues of mutual interest.
Also, the Moldovan official met First Deputy Chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. The sides approached issues of preparation of an official visit by President Nicolae Timofti to Turkmenistan, due on 6-8 April.
