Moldovan president to visit Turkmenistan

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- President Nicolae Timofti will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on 7-8 April, following an invitation by his Turkmen counterpart, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the presidential press service has reported.

Timofti will meet Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat. The two presidents will hold official talks in enlarged format, with the participation of the members of the two delegations.

The representatives of the Moldovan and Turkmen governments will sign bilateral cooperation agreements in such sectors as: energy, trade, agriculture, transport, education and culture.

The official delegation is made up of presidential advisers, the deputy head of the parliamentary commission on economy, budget and finances, Marcel Raducan, Agriculture and Food Minister Ion Sula, Transport and Road Infrastructure Minister Vasile Botnari, Culture Minister Monica Babuc and Deputy Economics Minister Tudor Copaci.
