Kingdom of the Netherlands ratifies Moldova-EU Association Agreement

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament of the Netherlands today ratified the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union, according to the head of the press service of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry, Ana Taban.
Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders said that "the ratification and subsequent implementation of the Association Agreement will contribute to strengthening democracy and the rule of law state, as well as create more opportunities for Moldovan companies to expand export on the European market."
The Netherlands is the 16th country to ratify the document after Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Denmark, Ireland and Germany.
The Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union was signed on 27 June 2014 and ratified by the Moldovan parliament on 2 July, - a procedure due to be fulfilled by all 28 EU member states.
