Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today met representatives of the National Trade Unions Confederation of Moldova (CNSM). The participants in the event approached more issues, among which increase in minimum wage, establishing a single income tax, regulating prices for energy resources, tougher sanctions for illegal work, reduction of VAT rates on social products, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Gaburici said the above-mentioned problems needed a systemic approach and opted for strengthening the dialogue between the government and CNSM. At the same time, the prime minister noted that the tripartite committee on permanent negotiations between government, employers and trade unions would soon resume the activity, and all the claims of the confederation were to be discussed within the committee.
"Together, we must find solutions to the approached problems, work out a common action plan and implement it step by step. In this context, it is important that we have constructive talks with trade unions and employers," he noted.
The sides also tackled the need to improve the labor legislation. The unionists said that it was not the appropriate time to begin working on a new Labor Code and opted for its adjustment to the European standards.
To maintain an efficient dialogue between the government and CNSM, the sides agreed that such meetings should take place permanently to consider arising problems.
