Moldovan embassy inaugurated in Qatar

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman, on visit to the State of Qatar, participated in the inauguration of a Moldovan Embassy in Doha, on 13 April, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.

Attending the event were representatives of Qatari authorities, diplomatic corps, business people community and media. After the official ceremony, Gherman met the community of Moldovans residing in Qatar.

Today, Natalia Gherman met Qatari Education Minister and discussed priorities for cooperation in the education and humanitarian sectors. At the same time, the sides gave the final touches to the text of a  memorandum of understanding on cooperation in education, higher education and scientific research between the governments of Moldova and State of Qatar, which confirmed the intention of both states to deepen the bilateral cooperation in the field.

Also, Gherman had a meeting with the head of the Qatar Petroleum company, one of the most important energy companies in the Gulf area. The sides approached perspectives of cooperation between Moldova and Qatar in the energy sector.
