Moldovan parliamentary delegation attends meeting of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, participates in a meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Interparliamentary Assembly Council in St.Petersburg, Russia, on 16-17 April, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The MPs will discuss and adopt a string of model laws for the CIS member states, as well as the agenda of activities scheduled for 2015. At the same time, the missions of observers at the elections from the CIS member states will unveil reports on monitoring the parliamentary polls from Moldova and Tajikistan.
The speaker will have separated meetings with Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin and Chairperson of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council Valentina Matviyenko.
The parliamentary delegation is made up of MPs Deputy Parliament Speaker Vladimir Vitiuc, Valentina Stratan, Ion Balan and the president of the Gagauz People's Assembly, Dmitry Konstantinov. It is for the first time when the leadership of the Gagauz People's Assembly is part of the official delegation of the Moldovan parliament.
