Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Joint Control Commission (JCC) held an ordinary meeting in Bender town on 16 April, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The participants addressed the ensuring free movement in the Security Zone, especially the draft decision worked out and given final touches with the consensus of all delegations to JCC, agreed upon at the 9 April meeting. The Transnistrian representatives ,without providing grounded reasons, categorically denied the previously assumed commitments, presented fully opposed visions and ignored the positions of the delegations of Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, as well as OSCE Mission.
Moreover, the Transnistrian co-chair erroneously interpreted for the media the carrying out of the JCC meeting, by commenting issues which did not represent subject of the discussions held at the meeting. The Transnistrian representative proved lack of professional ethics and defiantly brought groundless accusations to the Moldovan delegation.
As a result, the Transnistrian representatives defied the positive tone and confident atmosphere, set during the meeting of the Moldovan prime minister and Transnistrian leader on 10 April.
The Transnistrian delegation repeatedly showed lack of will to take a decision that would ensure the free movement in the security zone, thus, blocking the Commission’s activity. By this destructive tactics, with the use of various stratagems and "schemes", the Transnistrian delegation tries to change the topic of talks and divert the attention from systematic violations and abuses committed by the Transnistrian law-enforcement bodies, which create obstacles to the free movement in the Security Zone.
Due to lack of a constructive attitude by the Transnistrian delegation, the Russian co-chair postponed the meeting for next week.
