Moldovan Defence Ministry to organise ample military exercise

Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/ - Over 500 soldiers and 70 units of military equipment will participate in the Nordic Shield military exercise, organised by the Defence Ministry military at the Balti-based training centre of the Moldova Motorised Infantry Brigade during the next week.
A Defence Ministry press officer, Ala Diaconu, has told Moldpres that the purpose of the exercise was to assess the preparedness of staff to carry out missions, as well as the interoperability with carabineer troops and Civil Protection and Emergency Situations teams.
Within the exercise, the soldiers will act at ten training points, where they may improve their firing skills, managing the hardware, elements of medical aid, ensuring engineering and logistical support, etc.
The Nordic Shield exercises are part of the National Army's combat training plan and are the most ample ones, organised by the Defence Ministry in 2015.
