Moldovan PM attends military exercises

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today participated in the Nordic Shield 2015 military exercise. The event took place at the military training centre of the Moldova motorized infantry brigade from Balti, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The drills' goal was to test the level of preparedness of the servicemen for fulfilling the missions and efficient cooperation between the troops of carabineers and those of the civil protection and emergency situations service at the Interior Ministry.
The premier went to the centre by a Mi-8 helicopter. He inspected the training places, attended a front presentation of the military technology of the No 1 motorized infantry brigade and watched actions of staff in rejecting a simulated attack on military unit.
The prime minister highly appreciated the level of preparedness of the over 500 servicemen of the National Army, participating in the exercise, as well as the operational capacity of the military technology and weaponry.
"The goal of these drills was to see how prepared our servicemen for defending the country are. It is important that the citizens trust the National Army. We want peace, and servicemen are those who can provide it to us," he said.
At the end of the event, Chiril Gaburici watched exercises performed by servicemen.
