Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today held a working meeting with the participation of the heads of the standing commissions. The talks were focused on efficient organisation of activity within the parliament, as well as draft laws on the parliamentary agenda, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker urged the heads of commissions to take efforts to ensure a better organisation of the parliamentary activity at the level of specialised commissions and wider transparency of the parliament. In the context, Candu asked the commissions' heads to consider the up-to-dateness of draft laws left over from previous legislative bodies, in order to propose to the plenum a list of laws due to be rejected.
Candu said that the parliament's regulation might be amended by the end of the spring session, to ensure effective ways of work in the parliamentary activity.
At the same time, the participants in the meeting also discussed the parliamentary agenda for 27 April-1 May. On 27 April, the parliament will hold a festive event to mark the 25th anniversary of the official designation of tricolor as State Flag. On 28 April, the parliamentary commissions, factions and standing bureau will have meetings. On Wednesday and Thursday, the MPs will convene in meetings.
"We should organise more often such meetings. This was a mobilisation session meant to optimise the legislative process. The commissions have to boost the activity, so that the draft laws under consideration should reach the plenum as soon as possible", he said.
A number of 173 draft laws are currently on the working agenda of the parliamentary commissions for consideration and 2 laws for re-consideration.
