Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Joint Control Commission continued talks on ensuring free movement in the security zone at an ordinary meeting on 23 April, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Moldova’s delegation proposed the Commission to appropriately assess the evolution of the situation emerged in the discussions and to accept proposals on ensuring the free movement in the security zone, which had been presented at the previous meetings of co-chairs. The Moldovan representatives also made an appeal to the other JCC components to contribute to identify a viable solution, in order to remove the present obstacles to the free movement. The proposals were accepted and backed by the Russian delegation, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission.
The Transnistrian side showed a destabilising behaviour, used different stratagems and vicious interpretations, as well as invoked various pretexts, in order to block any initiative of the delegations to JCC. The contradictory talks showed that the Transnistrian representatives have non-constructive attitude and no consolidated vision within JCC could be achieved.
At the same time, Moldova’s delegation addressed a notification on doubtful practices of the Transnistrian side to misinform about developments in the security zone.
The consultations on the approached issues will continue at the next meeting.
