Fifth meeting of Moldovan-Polish intergovernmental commission to be held in next June

Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/- The fifth meeting of the Moldovan-Polish intergovernmental commission will be held in Chisinau in next June. Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Stephane Bride and Polish Ambassador to Moldova Artur Michalski agreed on the matter at a today meeting.
Sources in the Economics Ministry said that the two officials also discussed the organisation of a Moldovan-Polish business forum on the same period, in order to set partnerships and projects on joint investments.
The talks were focused on strengthening the bilateral economic relations between Moldova and Poland and attracting Polish companies to invest in Moldova. In the context, Michalski highlighted the importance of enhancing visibility of Moldovan market in the Polish business environment, especially for the companies operating in the neighboring countries - Romania and Ukraine.
The minister appreciated the constant support provided to Moldova and emphasised importance of the expertise Poland may provide to the country. "The Polish economic model is a success example, that can be taken over by Moldova in our European integration path, especially in the investment climate development," Bride said.
Also, the sides approached the possibility to extend the Polish assistance offered to the industry sector, referring to the Polish credit amounting to 100 million euros, provided for developing the agro-industrial sector, of which 10 per cent is to be directed to develop industrial infrastructure.
