Moldovan Liberal Democratic Party puts up candidate for Chisinau mayor office

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau territorial organisation of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) today decided to forward Serafim Urechean as candidate for the office of Chisinau general mayor, according to a press release by PLDM.

PLDM members agreed the candidacy of Serafim Urechean, praising the latter’s professionalism and organisational qualities showed along his activity in different posts.

PLDM believes that Serafim Urechean has all qualities to solve problems that Chisinau faces.

Presently, Serafim Urechean holds the office of chairman of the Chamber of Accounts. In 1994-2005, he served as Chisinau general mayor and first deputy parliament speaker in 2009-2010.

The local general elections will take place on 14 June.
