Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - Farmers may already apply for borrowing money from the 100-million-euros loan provided to Moldova by the Polish government. The maximum requested amount may be two million euros.

At a press conference today, Polish Loan Implementation Unit Head Igor Gorosov said that, in order to benefit from loans, the interested should submit their files on participation to territorial offices of the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA).

"Each applicant must have a business plan, indicating the part of the plan to be financed. Another important document is an acquisition contract with the supplier from Poland", said Gorosov.

The money from the Polish loan is earmarked for purchasing agricultural machinery. Farmers will be eligible for loans for a period of up to 12 years, with a grace period of three years. The Financial Assistance Agreement was signed in Warsaw on 14 May 2014.

The Cabinet voted to reduce the percentage rate for the Polish credit from 3 to 2 per cent in early April.
