Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - The report worked out by Kroll company after the preliminary investigations on the supposed financial irregularities at the State Saving Bank (Banca de Economii Joint Venture), Commercial Bank Banca Sociala Joint Venture and Commercial Bank Unibank Joint Venture will not be made public. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu announced about this today.
Candu said that the Kroll company had given a negative answer to the National Bank of Moldova’s (BNM) letter on possibility to make public the report. ”During the Standing Bureau’s meeting, BNM Governor Dorin Dragutanu presented the Kroll response letter in this respect. The letter provides arguments that, if the report is is made public, damages may be inflicted and, especially, the integrity of the investigation would be jeopardized and possibility to recover damages would be minimized,” Candu said.
Candu added that, the participants in aforementioned meeting had also addressed the sending of an additional request to Kroll, to make public this report or to allow its distribution to MPs.
