Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/- The talks on the issue of ensuring the free movement through the Security Zone continued at a 30 April meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Despite the fact that the political representatives for Transnistrian conflict settlement on behalf of Chisinau and Tiraspol agreed on the removal of all obstacles to the movement of people and transport means between the two banks of Dniester that during the Easter holidays, the Transnistrian structures had repeatedly violated this agreement, subjecting to a discriminatory attitude residents from the right bank, who crossed the administrative line on this period.
The participants in the meeting also approached a case of parish priest from Corjova village, Dubasari district, Oleg Cernat, who on 29 April, was stopped by the representatives of Transnistrian power wielding forces near Dorotcaia village, banning him from going to the Corjova village, for reasons that he was included in a list of undesirable people in the settlements from the left bank of Dniester. The priest was subjected to degrading treatment, his fundamental rights were violated, and the dignity of citizen and servant of religious cults was injured.
Contradictory discussions with the Transnistrian representatives, especially at level of co-heads, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission, proved once again that the former had an non-constructive attitude and were not interested in approaching the issue of free movement. The representatives of Tiraspol proved a destabilizing behavior and attitude, by making use of an entire arsenal of tricks, pretexts and misinterpretations, in order to divert discussions from the meeting’s issue, block any initiatives coming from the JCC delegations and to ignore commitments assumed at the 9 April meeting.
It is worth mentioning that, at the meeting, the co-head of the Transnistrian delegation, in the presence of the delegations from Moldova, Russia, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission, recognized that the place of an exercise carried out by Moldovan servicemen on 26 March, and namely at the crossroad Balabanesti-Cimiseni road with the M-14 highway was not in the area of the Security Zone. The Transnistrian delegation has earlier accused the Moldovan side of violating the Security Zone regime within the exercises.
The talks on the above-mentioned issues will be continued at the next meeting of the commission, due on 14 May 2015.
