Moldovan Democratic Party introduces candidate for Chisinau mayor office

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - Culture Minister Monica Babuc is the Democratic Party’s (PDM) candidate for the office of mayor of Chisinau. The announcement was made today by the leader of PDM Chisinau, Pavel Filip, after a meeting of the executive bureau.
Monica Babuc said that "it is an honour to run on behalf of women, Democrats, the pro-Europeans and good-faith families from Chisinau".
"I love this city with all my heart and I want all families to live well in our city. I understand the stake of this election quite well: people wait to see how those whom they elect carry out more good deeds. I am sure that this is possible," said Monica Babuc.
Monica Babuc is 51 years old, and has been acting as culture minister since 2013.
Till now, Zinaida Greceanii from the Party of Socialists, Ilian Casu of the Our Party formation, Oazu Nantoi from the electoral bloc led by Iurie Leanca, Liberal Democratic Party member Serafim Urechean, Communist Vasile Chirtoca, National Liberal Party member Timotei Turcanu and People's Party member Mihai Cirlig have submitted their files for the post of Chisinau mayor.
