Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu published a copy of Kroll report on his blog on 4 May.
“I decided to make public the Kroll report and I assume the responsibility for this action. I make it openly, without hiding behind anonymous sources. The debate on this topic gets false emphases,” Candu writes.
Under the report, „during the period 17 August 2012 - 30 November 2014, Unibank, Banca Sociala and Banca de Economii were the target of consecutive changes of shareholders, which had as effect the transfer of the bank's assets to more private persons, without any relationship between them”.
The report also specified that “each of those three banks entered into a string of transactions that did not have any economic justification, which led to significant worsening of their balances, making them not be viable anymore”.
“The above-mentioned suggest a coordinated effort within the banks to hide the real nature of operations and their beneficiaries," the report reads.
The Kroll report has 84 pages and was made public by Candu exclusively in English.
Last week, Kroll refused to provide its agreement on report publishing, “in order not to damage the investigation”.
