Moldovan premier meets World War II veterans

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today met veterans of the World War II and the one for defending the independence and territorial integrity of Moldova, who worked at institutions subordinated to the government, on different periods, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister congratulated the veterans on 9 May, stressing that this holiday had a special significance and must not be forgotten, as well as the sacrifice of all people who had fought for peace should not be erased from memory.
Gaburici expressed deep gratitude to the veterans, wishing them good health and many years. "Thank you for what you have done for our people, so that we presently live in peace, silence and freedom! I revere in front of you and I thank you a lot!" he said.
At the event, the prime minister handed commemorative medals dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of war to the veterans.
