Moldovan premier requests report on Chisinau International Airport infringements

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - Following the 7 May hearings in the parliament, Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici requested an urgent convening of an interdepartmental working group, due to submit an analysis of the current situation to the government, identify whether there were infringements or not and which the solutions were. Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici made a request to this effect during the Cabinet meeting today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

"I have taken notice of the information presented in the parliament on 7 May by the National Anti-Corruption Centre Director Viorel Chetraru, according to which some of the missing money from banks is, in various ways, in the investments in the Chisinau International Airport. In this context, I request an urgent convening of an interdepartmental working group, coordinated by the National Anti-Corruption Centre, Economics Ministry, Civil Aviation Authority and Interior Ministry, which, within a week, are to present a comprehensive analysis of this situation to the government, to identify whether there are infringements  or not, what are they is to be held accountable", said the premier.

Chiril Gaburici also demanded that these institutions checked whether the contract on the concession of the Chisinau International Airport was observed. "I want to check if those who took the airport in concession comply with the terms of the contract. If the things are like this, Mr Chetraru, please come up with solutions and detailed proposals on how to act because we cannot admit such actions", added Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici.
