Brussels hosts "Discovering Moldova" event

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Union of District Councils of Moldova will carry out a string of events to present and promote the Moldovan districts titled: “Discovering Moldova!” at the European Parliament in Brussels, on 11-13 May.

The activities are organised in partnership with the European Parliament, with the support of the head of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Delegation, MEP Andi Cristea, as well as the delegation’s deputy head, MEP Michal Boni.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the executive director of the aforementioned union, Andrei Buzatu, said that the main events which were organised are: an exhibition of pictures/photos/ paintings and materials for tourism promotion (nature sites, tourism objects, etc.), an exhibition of local specific traditional popular culture (popular costumes, handicraft, etc.), as well as an exhibition with tasting of local typical products (culinary, beverages, canned goods, etc.).

Andrei Buzatu said that, also in Brussels, a conference on the European integration would be held, after which a cocktail with members of the European Parliament would take place.

Each participating district council will have a stand for exhibiting products and promotion materials.
