Moldovan wines awarded at greatest world wine contest

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/- The Purcari winery has got two silver medals and four bronze ones at the greatest and most influential competition of wines in the world - Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA). The Rose de Purcari 2014 and Pinot Grigio 2014 Wines were awarded silver medals, and Alb de Purcari 2012, Freedom Blend 2011, Negru de Purcari 2010 and Sauvignon 2014 received bronze medals.
The press service of the Purcari company notes, that starting from 2011, the Purcari winery has been annually awarded at the competition. DWWA has an international reputation for a rigorous process of appreciation. Over 200 jurymen, the best sommeliers of the world, decided that the Moldovan wines "are of an indisputable quality and deserve worldwide attention."
New trends in terms of wine are decided at DWWA, elite wines are established and new great wines are discovered there.
On 8 May 2015, three of Purcari wines were awarded gold and silver medals at the World Competition in Brussels. The Rose de Purcari 2014 also got a bronze medal at the international wine contest from France - Challenge International du Vin 2015.
The group shareholders are the Horizon Capital American investment fund, International Financial Corporation, member of the World Bank group, and group's founder, winemaker Victor Bostan.
