Intelligence service bans suspects' entry in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/- The Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) detained a group of foreigners deported from Turkey, suspected of belonging to international terrorist organisations. The Men, born in Russia and Tajikistan, intended to use Moldova as a transit state in order to reach Syria.
According to the SIS' communication and public relations centre, following investigations carried out by institution's employees, the detainees' luggage contained military uniforms used by special forces, phone cards of different states, technical devices for ensuring the use of communication means for long periods, information on routes, due to be covered and financial means.
SIS sources also said that religious books, certificates on attending training courses, including religious ones, in the Middle East had been found on the detainees.
The national authorities ruled to ban the suspects' entry in Moldova, as they presented a high risk for the national security. The foreigners are to be expelled to their origin countries.
