Moldovans working in Lithuania to be socially insured

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan citizens, who temporarily work or live in Lithuania, will be insured socially. The cabinet today approved a draft law on ratification of the Agreement on social protection signed between the two states.
At the cabinet meeting, Labour, Social Protection and Family Minister Ruxanda Glavan said that the agreement stipulated the providing of age pensions, pensions for loosing work capacity and survivor’s pensions. Under the informative note to the bill, the signatory states will pay the part of the pension calculated for the period of contribution to the public social insurance system.
Also today, the government approved the signing of the Administrative Arrangement on implementation of the agreement on social security between Moldova and Belgium, signed in Brussels on 12 September 2012.
Moldova signed similar agreements with more countries, among which Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Luxembourg.
