More Moldovan district council heads, deputy heads pay visit to Brussels

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of Moldovan traditional products and wine tasting has been recently organised in the European Parliament. The goods were presented by 48 district council heads and deputy heads from 17 Moldovan districts, who paid a working visit to Brussels on 11-13 May.
The visit was organised by the head of European Parliament's Delegation for Moldova, MEP Andi Cristea, jointly with the Union of District Councils of Moldova.
According to a press release, the visit’s agenda included a conference during which the Moldovan representatives tackled to European high-ranking officials. Among them, there were President of the European Committee of Regions Markku Markkula, Chief of Staff of EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Michael Karnitschnig, Moldova’s Ambassador to EU Eugen Caras. They also discussed with Programme Manager at the European Commission Irina Cruceru, who unveiled European financing opportunities for the Moldovan local administration.
