Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - Businessman Ilan Shor today denied rumours on allegedly preparing to leave Moldova. In a statement sent to MOLDPRES, Shor told those who shout that he will flee Moldova: "I say: "Some hope!"
According to the businessman, he ruled to run for the post of Orhei mayor. "In only one day, I collected the needed number of signatures to run as independent candidate. To carry out the ambitious plan I set to implement, I need a team in the town council. Therefore, I put forward my candidacy for the mayor office on behalf of the party "Ravnopravie" (Equality of Rights)," Shor said.
Ilan Shor also said Orhei was his town, as his relatives had lived in the concerned settlement. Also, his team, "Milsami" was also in Orhei, a team which managed to become a leader of the Moldovan football in just five years.
"I come often to Orhei and could not but see multiple problems in which the two stagnates. What I was seeing each time triggered my wish, as well as a lot of ideas as to how I could change the settlement. I do not want the office of mayor for profit. I will come to invest in the Orhei town," the statement also says.
