Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/- Eight searches were made on directors of six companies, which benefited from credits of Banca de Economii (Savings Bank, BEM), and two assessment companies today morning.
According to a press release by the National Anti-corruption Centre (CNA), in 2009-2012, the concerned economic agents would have been taken from the bank more credits amounting to over 700 million lei, and the assessment companies would have overrated the amount of assets put in pledge.
CNA prosecutors and officers detained one of the beneficiaries of credits. He would have been taken a 2.8-million-dollar credit, putting in pledge real estate at a lower price than the amount of the loan.
Also today, another two members of the Board of Directors of Banca Sociala (Social Bank) were accused by prosecutors in the fraud cases on BEM and Banca Sociala.
Last week, two former presidents of Banca de Economii and Social Bank and three members of the two banks' councils were accused.
Eight criminal files on BEM providing bad loans are currently in court.
