Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - The German Bundestag provides three scholarships to Moldovan graduates from higher education institutions in order to make an internship in the office of a German MP for five months. German Ambassador to Moldova Ulrike Knotz made statements to this effect at a news conference today.

Knotz said the scholarships beneficiaries would have the possibility to get familiarised with the working programme of a German MP, to participate in sessions and meetings with voters.

”The programme’s goal is to contribute to develop the democratic process in the Central and Eastern European states. I found that, once participated in the programme, young people have bigger chance to get better paid and more attractive jobs when coming back home,” Knotz said.

The scholarship programme will last from 1 March till 31 July 2016. The participants will get a monthly scholarship of 500 euros. The Bundestag also ensures the accommodation and roundtrip transport.

In order to participate in the programme, the candidate should be born after 1 March 1986 and have good knowledge of German. The file will include a detailed letter of intent, diploma, certificate confirming knowledge of German language, two recommendation letters, an electronic passport-type photo, copy of passport.

The file is to be sent via email to [email protected] or by mail to the embassy’s address till 30 June 2015.
