Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu met representatives of farmers’ associations today. Cancelling the income tax in agriculture, simplifying the crediting procedure for farmers, way of subsidizing per hectare and liberalisation of the oil market are some of the measures to improve the situation in agriculture, made by Candu.
Candu said that draft laws providing for the aforementioned measures were to be worked out till 1 July 2015.
„I cannot make proposals as regards the increasing of the subsidisation fund, but we will work out a law, under which we are to ensure cheap crediting mechanisms for agriculture, with a minimum interest and without pledge. At the same time, we will change the way of subsidizing per hectare and not on investments. We will also keep a 8-per-cent VAT on agricultural products,” Candu said.
For his part, the head of the UniAgroProtect Union of Associations of Agricultural Producers, Alexandru Slusari, said that „the agriculture is in a pre-catastrophe situation” and the main request of farmers is to increase the subsidisation fund up to 1.2 billion lei.
Slusari highlighted that, if no draft law on proposals made by Candu is worked out till 1 July and subsidisation fund increased, the farmers will switch „from economic slogans to radical ones”.
