Moldovan-Estonian business forum organised in Tallinn

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- About 30 representatives of local companies participated in a Moldovan-Estonian business forum, held in Tallinn today. The event took place in the context of an economic mission of Moldovan businessmen in the Baltic countries on 18-22 May.
The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Valeriu Lazar, made a brief presentation of economic and political evolutions in Moldova. He noted that CCI "is set to be one of the leading institutions to support businesses in economic integration, and the Baltic states' experience can be helpful in speeding up to adjust to the EU rules". "The Baltic countries represent the interesting sales market for Moldovan products, and can be a bridgehead by developed port infrastructure for the export to the Nordic countries".
For his part, Moldovan Ambassador to Estonia Victor Guzun described the bilateral relations between the two countries as excellent, as a proof being the large number of visits by the Moldovan delegations to Estonia - about 60 ones per year. The official expressed willingness to back the cooperation between Moldovan and Estonian business people.
The event was followed by bilateral meetings between representatives of enterprises from Moldov and Estonia.
The mission to the Baltic states is organised by the CCI, in partnership with the European Business Association, within the DCFTA Project.
