Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today asked the specialised ministries for additional information about the conditions in which the contract on concession of Chisinau International Airport has been signed, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
"I received from the National Anti-corruption Centre (CNA), Economics Ministry, Civil Aviation Authority and Interior Ministry a report on situation in the airport. After the analysis, I want the Justice Ministry and Economics Ministry to submit, within one week, the conditions of signing of the contract on airport concession. As I realize, the contract was signed in unfair conditions for other participants", he said.
Also, the premier asked the Interior Ministry and CNA to speed up the investigations and initiate criminal files on decision makers of the Chisinau International Airport. "In 2013, incorrect information was presented to the government, and on their basis, a decision on giving in concession the airport was taken. I also ask the prosecution to take notice on the matter", he said.
The premier also noted that on that period, Ilan Shor was head of board of directors of the Savings Bank (Banca de Economii), Unibank and Avia Invest.
"In this case, it may be about abuse of office for personal interest. Money has been illegally transferred to the Avia Invest company's account, causing large scale damage to public interests. We must investigate all involved people", he concluded.
