Moldovan parliament sets up working group to support farmers

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- The parliament today ruled to set up a working group meant to work out a string of legislative amendments to back farmers.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu presented the draft decision. He said that among the initiatives due to be included in "the agricultural package," there were identifying additional financial means to increase the fund for subsidizing farmers, establishing the 0 per cent-rate for the tax on reinvested income, creating a preferential crediting mechanism for farmers, levying a 8-per cent rate of value added tax on all agricultural products.
The working group will be made up of Socialist MPs Radu Mudreac and Corneliu Furculita, lawmakers of the Party of Communists Petru Porcescu and Oleg Reidman, Liberal Democrats Ion Balan and Grigore Cobzac. Democrats will be represented by Andrian Candu and Vladimir Andronache, and Liberals - by Vladimir Cernat and Iurie Chirinciuc.
The working group is to elaborate the package of legislative amendments till next July.
