Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - Transnistrian representatives interrupted talks on ensuring free movement in the security zone at a meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender on 21 May, according to a press release by the Bureau for Reintegration.
A press release by the Bureau says that ”contradictory discussions with the Transnistrian side, especially at the level of co-chairs, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission, proved once again that the Transnistrian representatives further promote a non-constructive attitude, use stratagems and erroneous interpretations – in order to fully deny commitments assumed during the previous meetings”.
The Transnistrian side showed a destabilising behaviour and attitude and invoked various pretexts, in order to block initiatives forwarded by other delegations to JCC.
Consequently, the talks were interrupted and are be continued at the next meeting due on 28 May.
Moldova’s delegation handed over to the other JCC delegations a letter on flagrant infringements of the free movement in the Security Zone, committed by the Transnistrian power-wielding forces over the past period.
