Moldovan deputy foreign minister attends SEECP meeting

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi participated in the annual meeting of foreign ministers of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Tirana, on 22 May. The event was organised by Albania, country which holds the SEECP chairmanship-in-office, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The participants reviewed the developments in the region and achievements recorded by the participating states. The officials also agreed on the text of declaration of the Summit of Heads of State of SEECP participating countries, due on 26 May, which reiterates the regional states’ commitment to create a joint space of democracy and prosperity in European style.
In his speech, Tudor Ulianovschi presented Moldova’s priorities in the dialogue with the European Union and underlined the importance of the cooperation process in the South-East European region as an added value to promote interests of states in advancing in the European integration.
Ulianovschi met his Albanian counterpart Selim Belortaja. The sides discussed the bilateral cooperation, launch of process to set up joint intergovernmental commissions, mutual support in advancing the European agenda, as well as promoting economic diplomacy.
