Moldovan law enforcers detain suspects of Islamic State

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/- More persons who would be adepts of terrorist group Islamic State, have been recently detained by police in Moldova.
According to the law enforcement bodies, a woman, mother of three minors, who is under supervision of police, and a man, who is at the Migration and Asylum Bureau, have been held.
The two persons would have been luring people from Moldova to participate in armed conflicts.
"In early 2015, the special operations department initiated an operative action against a group of persons. More people presenting interest for the case were investigated within the inquiry, some of whom hid in a home in the Buiucani district of Chisinau. Eleven persons were there, adepts of the Islamic State, who participated or intended to take part in the armed conflict in Syria," the acting head of the General Police Inspectorate, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, said.
After searches at the suspects' home, propaganda literature on converting people to Islam was discovered.
Law enforcers are still investigating the case to elucidate concrete actions that were to be taken by the suspects.
