Moldovan president chairs meeting of Supreme Security Council

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Nicolae Timofti today chaired an emergency meeting of the Supreme Security Council, the presidency's press service has reported.
The Council heard reports by the Interior Ministry, Security and Intelligence Service, Foreign and European Integration Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s Office with regard to a wide spectrum of national security issues.
The Supreme Security Council recommended the competent state structures to draft a new National Security Strategy due to meet the current security environment in the country and the region in a short time, and to strengthen national capacities to prevent and counteract new security risks.
